Anthem BioSciences reduces costs and strengthens business continuity with Citrix

Anthem BioSciences, a Bangalore-based research services group with over 450 employees, faced rapid growth, frequent new-hire provisioning (25–50 desktops/month), mixed Linux/Windows server needs and strict security and business-continuity requirements. As a cash-conscious start-up, the IT team needed a way to reduce hardware and management overhead while enabling secure remote access and faster desktop deployment.

Anthem implemented Citrix XenServer and XenDesktop with Hosted Shared Desktop (HSD), virtualizing servers and desktops in the datacentre. The rollout delivered encrypted, centrally managed desktops that users can access remotely, cut per-seat hardware and power costs significantly, shortened deployment from weeks to same-day, extended endpoint lifecycles, and improved security and business continuity—producing clear cost savings and operational agility.
