Action Against Hunger, a global humanitarian organization focused on ending world hunger, engaged CitizenNet to break into the U.S. market and boost brand awareness and donor acquisition. The nonprofit asked CitizenNet to run social media advertising—Facebook and Instagram placements using audience targeting and predictive affinity—to increase both one-time and recurring donations.
CitizenNet implemented a paid social program that combined retargeting of donation-funnel drop-offs, CitizenNet’s prediction technology to find new likely donors, and CitizenNet Premium Audiences (philanthropy segment), running newsfeed and stories ads across Facebook and Instagram. After two months, CitizenNet delivered 22% more impressions while cutting CPM by 58%, increased ad engagement by 25% with over 800K post engagements, scaled recurring donations ~23x and one-time donations ~13x, and drove 20% of new donors through its prediction technology.
