Global Manufacturer of Consumer Goods, a U.S.-based organization with more than 75,000 employees and a portfolio of over 500 computer systems, needed to move away from ad hoc policy compliance checks and IT governance toward a systematic, transparent information risk management process. Working with Citicus and its Citicus ONE product, the company aimed to gain a thorough understanding of system criticality, improve oversight of risk across globally distributed application and data owners, and strengthen reporting and aggregation of risk data.

Citicus implemented Citicus ONE as the core of the company’s security and risk management process, including a tailored “system of systems” inventory, criticality and risk assessments, and training for more than 50 employees. The solution raised awareness of ownership and service providers, fostered formal risk acceptance, enabled incremental security improvements, and supported broader information security programs; later upgrades to Citicus ONE Release 3 improved assessment efficiency and accuracy. The platform is also being extended to process and entity-level assessments to support Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, business continuity, and operational risk management.
