A Cision Case Study
The Stroke Association, the U.K.'s leading stroke charity, needed to raise public awareness about stroke prevention and warning signs and to generate momentum for a new national stroke strategy as the existing plan was ending. With up to 80% of strokes thought preventable, the charity also needed a measurable PR campaign that would drive public engagement and petition signatures to influence government action.
Working with Cision Intelligence, the charity built a research-led measurement program (audience surveys, live dashboards and social tracking) to target messages and adjust tactics in real time. Mid-campaign changes increased coverage with petition links and refocused influencers, helping the #NewEra campaign achieve ~7 million impressions, reach 3.7 million people, generate over 55,000 petition signatures, boost key-message awareness by 35% and prompt government response and meetings with Health Ministers.
