A Cision Case Study
The Banfield Foundation, the charitable arm of Banfield Pet Hospital, needed to educate pet owners about disaster preparedness after research showed that 91% were unprepared for the next natural disaster. Working with Cision through MultiVu and partner Coyne PR, the foundation launched a pet disaster preparedness campaign to raise awareness and encourage owners to create emergency plans for their pets.
Cision helped execute the solution with a two-phase strategy: local outreach, interviews, a PSA featuring Sean Lowe, and national distribution of the PSA and a Multichannel News Release. The campaign generated 558 stories, more than 627 million media impressions, over 2 million social impressions, 500,000 PSA views, and nearly 8,000 website clicks, while the PSA aired about 5,456 times to nearly 97 million viewers.
