The Port of San Diego, a self‑sustaining government agency managing 34 miles of waterfront, needed a better way to quantify public interest in its many initiatives. With more than 800 media inquiries a year and roughly 50 press releases, executives and the board asked the communications team for clear, trendable insights into media coverage and social conversations to inform priorities and decision‑making.
Using Cision Communications Cloud the team created a two‑page C‑suite media dashboard delivered quarterly and annually. The dashboard delivers real‑time, visual metrics (charts, graphs, word clouds), custom branded reports and social listening from platforms like Twitter and Facebook—resulting in improved performance tracking, clearer executive reporting and stronger data‑driven decisions.
