J.P. Morgan needed to understand the media impact of its 36th Annual Healthcare Conference, including which stories, speakers, and companies generated the most reach and engagement. Cision and its Cision Intelligence team monitored broadcast, online, and social media around JPM18 to analyze coverage quality, sentiment, and share of voice across leading pharma companies.
Cision’s analysis produced a conference media report with story counts, audience reach, engagement, and Quality Scores, helping identify key themes like tax reform, drug pricing, and neuroscience. The findings showed Merck generated 70 stories and 292 tweets during the event, with mostly neutral coverage but strong positive performance in substantive stories; Cision also found Merck’s engagement more than doubled year over year to 1,093 and its audience reach increased to 3.1 million.
