William Grant & Sons’ Grant’s Whisky launched a global search for a brand ambassador aimed at reaching a younger generation of whisky drinkers and generating significant earned media. The challenge was to create a bold, shareable campaign with massive international reach and strong editorial pickup.
They partnered with Cision’s MultiVu/Newswire to produce a multilingual multi-channel news release that packaged video, b-roll, images, embeddable players and downloadable assets for easy editorial use. The release was localized into multiple languages and was picked up by nearly 540 outlets (a potential audience of ~170 million), drove extensive use of multimedia, and generated close to 5,000 job applications from 100 countries.
