Alzheimer’s Research UK, the UK’s leading dementia research charity funded largely by public donations, needed to raise awareness of dementia, grow its brand to attract donations, and establish itself as an influential voice among researchers and policymakers. Facing a crowded charity landscape and multiple target audiences, the communications team lacked the visibility, targeting and measurement tools required to shape more strategic outreach.
They adopted Cision Communications Cloud and Cision Insights to gain an extensive influencer database, automated monitoring, campaign management and granular analytics. The platform enabled personalized outreach, automatic tagging and campaign tracking (for example, the “Dementia Revolution” marathon campaign), plus sector benchmarking — delivering greater operational efficiency, clearer insight into media impact, and more meaningful data to inform strategy and report to stakeholders.
