The Stroke Association, the UK’s leading stroke charity, ran its annual "Action on Stroke Month" to raise public awareness, target higher-risk minority ethnic groups, drive visitors to a campaign landing page and helpline, and boost engagement using celebrity spokespeople. Measuring impact across mainstream and social channels was a key challenge to ensure the campaign’s messages reached priority audiences and informed future planning.
Gorkana provided an integrated media intelligence solution—database, monitoring, analysis, social tracking and surveys—giving deep-dive reporting and a stronger measurement framework. The work helped drive a 96% increase in social engagement, a rise in reach to primary audiences from 67% to 74%, and uplifts in brand awareness (50% to 62%) and mini-stroke awareness (58% to 69%), with increased website traffic and award recognition for the campaign.
