Royal Voluntary Service, the older people’s charity, wanted to challenge stereotypes about aging and generate national positive coverage while attracting volunteers for GrandFest 2016. It worked with Cision Gorkana on the PR campaign, delivered by TVC Group, to showcase the skills of older volunteers and connect older and younger audiences.

Cision Gorkana helped deliver the GrandFest 2016 campaign through media stories, a launch event, celebrity support, and a live event at Spitalfields with 11 “GrandMakers” hosting 23 masterclasses. The result was 214 pieces of coverage reaching 159 million people, a 37% increase on 2015, plus 600 sold-out masterclass bookings before the event.
