The company needed a way to manage and mitigate a wide range of economic, social, political and environmental risks while distinguishing itself from competitors.
Gorkana provided an integrated media intelligence service—combining traditional and social monitoring, share-of-voice, sentiment and brand-attribute analysis, native-language review and real-time alerts—to identify influencers, surface emerging topics and give early warning of potentially damaging issues. Those insights reshaped Newmont’s communications strategy, allowing the internal team to predict audience reactions, engage relevant stakeholders proactively and base future activity on robust analytics; the work was recognized with AMEC shortlistings and Gorkana industry awards.
