MSD Animal Health, supported by PR agency Shout! Communications, launched the Big Tick Project to highlight a rising tick threat in the UK and its implications for people and pets. The challenge was to increase awareness among vets and dog owners, grow the prescription market for tick products and drive an ambitious 50% uplift in sales of Bravecto.

Shout! amplified University of Bristol research with three tailored video packages, celebrity spokesperson Chris Packham, targeted distribution to broadcasters, websites and vet surgeries, plus radio interviews. The campaign delivered widespread national and regional coverage, 82% growth in Bravecto sales, a 44% increase in the licensed tick‑product market, strong vet endorsement (94% rated the project good/very good) and prompted an industry meeting on tick‑borne disease.
