A Cisco Meraki Case Study
Victra, a National Verizon Authorized Retailer with about 1,200 stores in 46 states, was struggling to scale a fragmented, insecure network inherited through rapid growth and acquisitions. With a 15-person IT team and thousands of daily users across retail locations, Victra needed a secure, easy-to-manage solution that could be deployed and updated centrally—so they chose Cisco Meraki and its full stack (MX security appliances, MS switches, wireless APs, Dashboard, MC phones and cloud-managed licensing).
Cisco Meraki delivered a cloud-managed, template-driven deployment (MX Auto‑VPN, cloned configs, zero-man‑hour firmware updates) that slashed costs and time: deployment costs fell ~70%, ongoing management costs dropped more than 95%, and Victra realized over 80% savings in 3‑year TCO (Meraki: $2,308 vs previous: $13,880 per store). Meraki also sped rollouts (stores brought live in hours or minutes versus days), increased IT capacity (15 people able to deploy vs 5 previously), and improved security and visibility via the Meraki Dashboard.
