Trinity Fire & Security Systems - Customer Case Study

Trinity Fire & Security Systems, a UK fire and security integrator headquartered in Exeter with over 320 employees across 8 regional locations, needed a robust, easy-to-manage network to support continuous customer-site monitoring and service. Their aging, overly complicated network and lack of onsite IT at each site left the Head of IT & Systems, Mike Collings, seeking a single vendor solution — they chose a complete Cisco Meraki deployment to simplify management and ensure reliable, nationwide connectivity.

Cisco Meraki replaced and configured equipment at all distributed locations—UTM security appliances (some with 802.11ac), switches, access points, a mesh site-to-site VPN and a pair of HA appliances in the datacenter—while Systems Manager was deployed on about 500 devices. The unified Meraki dashboard now provides centralized, end-to-end visibility and control, enabling proactive remote troubleshooting, consistent QoS and Layer 7 firewall policies, multi-SSID segmentation, reliable daily connectivity for staff and customers, and continuous feature updates—delivering a simpler, future-proof network for Trinity.
