A Cisco Meraki Case Study
John XXIII College, a co-educational campus in Perth with 1,500+ students and 240 staff, was struggling with connectivity across its spread-out grounds and 2,000+ registered devices (many BYOD). To solve roaming, enrollment, and high-density wireless problems, the College selected Cisco Meraki to modernize its network and device management.
Cisco Meraki deployed a cloud-managed stack—500 Systems Manager licenses, 150+ MR access points and close to 50 MS switches—providing a single pane of glass for administration and reliable outdoor/indoor Wi‑Fi. The Meraki solution delivered measurable benefits: an 80% drop in connectivity issues, dramatically reduced help-desk cases, freed bandwidth and classroom disruptions, and more staff time for strategic projects, while enabling teachers and students to use devices seamlessly anywhere on campus.
