Case Study: Rosebank College achieves simplified centralized network management and deep student-device visibility with Cisco Meraki

A Cisco Meraki Case Study

Preview of the Rosebank College Case Study

Significant efficiencies with integrating Meraki with deep visibility into student devices

Rosebank College, a Year 7–12 school in Five Dock with about 1,200 students and 150 staff, needed to upgrade indoor and outdoor wireless and centralize device management as the campus doubled in size. Network Manager Ken Lin chose Cisco Meraki — deploying MR (wireless), MX (security and SD‑WAN) and Systems Manager (EMM) — to replace aging kit and support high‑density student devices and a single‑admin IT model.

Cisco Meraki rolled out MR34 802.11ac APs across classrooms and outdoor spaces, deployed MX appliances with site‑to‑site VPN integration to Azure, and installed Systems Manager for zero‑provisioning device control. The outcome was a cloud dashboard that lets one administrator manage networking for 1,200 students/150 staff from any browser, a two‑week migration to replicate settings, an MX integration completed in about 1.5 weeks (versus over a month previously), and deep visibility and reliable high‑density Wi‑Fi for student laptops and iPads.
