ERG S.p.A., a leading Italian wind energy and multi‑energy company supporting 600+ employees, faced zero visibility into traffic at individual access points and slow, manual wireless changes that required on‑site intervention. To raise network performance and reduce troubleshooting time across distributed sites, ERG selected Cisco Meraki and deployed Meraki MR34 access points and MS220 switches.

Cisco Meraki delivered a unified wired-and-wireless dashboard and remote management tools, deploying 50 MR34 APs and 8 MS220 switches (first site in one day; ~40 APs and 7 switches in Genoa in four days). The solution enabled remote troubleshooting with Air Marshal and packet capture, four SSIDs with varied authentication and traffic‑shaping rules, automatic device‑based group policies, faster, more reliable user experience, and a significant reduction in on‑site troubleshooting time.
