Quickly providing secure access to a remote workforce with a lean IT team

Clarity Consulting, a 120-person enterprise consulting firm with offices in Chicago, Seattle, Croatia and remote developers, faced unreliable connectivity for remote staff, a lack of holistic networking hardware, and a lean IT team of two hampered by complex CLI-based devices and little visibility into traffic and alerts. To address these challenges they selected Cisco Meraki (Security & SD-WAN, Switching, Wireless LAN) for a branch networking solution.

Cisco Meraki deployed MR access points, MS switches, MX security appliances (including an MX64W in Croatia) and pre‑configured Z1s for plug‑and‑play remote access, with VPN and SSIDs set up once in the Meraki dashboard. The deployment was completed in hours (SSIDs configured in ~15 minutes), the IT team now spends minimal time managing the network, remote employees securely access internal resources, and Meraki’s traffic analytics and dashboard visibility enabled data-driven throttling and easy network health checks from anywhere.
