Case Study: University of Sharjah achieves a secure, campus-wide cloud network with Cisco Meraki

Providing excellent student and faculty experiences with a cloud-first network

University of Sharjah partnered with Cisco Meraki to support its digital transformation and improve campus connectivity across 14 colleges and four campus facilities. The university needed a scalable, secure network to better serve students, faculty, and administration while supporting its academic technology goals.

Cisco Meraki implemented a cloud-first network with more than 5,000 Wi-Fi 5 and Wi-Fi 6 access points, along with Meraki switching and Cisco Catalyst switches. The result was one of the largest cloud wireless networks in the region, delivering stronger performance, improved security, easier access to resources, and faster, more reliable connectivity across campus.
