Onze Lieve Vrouwecollege - Customer Case Study

Onze Lieve Vrouwecollege, a primary and secondary school in Antwerp, needed to replace aging networking equipment across three locations with a simple, integrated platform that provided reliable access and easy management for a small IT team. IT coordinator Peter Celis selected Cisco Meraki’s cloud-managed solution—deploying Meraki indoor access points, security appliances, a Layer 3 switch and MDM—to give the school an intuitive dashboard and unified control over networking and security.

Cisco Meraki completed installation and configuration in about 40 hours, set up site-to-site VPN, four SSIDs (school, employee, student, guest with NAT), RADIUS authentication and per-SSID/time-based policies, and enabled remote monitoring and quick device provisioning. The result is full WiFi coverage of learning areas, about 70% of rooms now wired, faster and more secure access for students and staff, improved guest experience, simplified IT management via the Meraki dashboard, and ongoing feature updates included with the licenses.
