Mester Grønn, Norway’s largest flower chain with more than 120 shops, needed a reliable, easy-to-manage wireless solution for its head office where most operational systems run. Network administrator Arve Siitonen evaluated cloud-managed options and selected Cisco Meraki wireless APs to deliver stability, simple administration and consistent guest and employee connectivity.

Cisco Meraki deployed 36 Meraki APs (integrated with Cisco Catalyst 2960‑X/2960‑S switches), configured SSIDs (guest splash page, 802.1x for staff, and a device SSID), RADIUS and bandwidth limits via the Meraki dashboard. The deployment delivered measurable benefits—no wireless issues reported, faster troubleshooting and visibility through analytics and email alerts (APs auto‑peered during switch outages), identification and blocking of BitTorrent traffic, API-driven office displays, and quicker support—freeing Mester Grønn’s small IT team to focus on other priorities.
