Saint Mary’s College of California needed to meet rising student and guest expectations for fast, reliable Wi‑Fi across dense, challenging spaces like residence halls, the library, gym, and convention center. Using Cisco Meraki, the college sought a simpler way to expand and manage its network while reducing support issues and keeping public-event access secure.

Cisco Meraki implemented Meraki MR Wi‑Fi 6E access points with cloud-based management through the Meraki dashboard, plus Meraki Air Marshal for security. The result was dramatically fewer service desk calls for Wi‑Fi and Ethernet, faster deployment with plug-and-play hardware, improved bandwidth and stability, and easier monitoring and maintenance—enabling the small IT team to respond quickly and schedule updates around student breaks.
