A Cisco Meraki Case Study
Property Brokers, a New Zealand real estate company with 42 branches and more than 600 staff, struggled with a fragmented legacy network that forced its six‑person IT team in Palmerston North to travel to remote sites, offered limited device and application visibility, made BYOD management and access revocation cumbersome, and relied on a single physical controller that conflicted with VOIP. To address these challenges Property Brokers chose Cisco Meraki, deploying MR wireless access points alongside Systems Manager endpoint management and MX security appliances for cloud‑managed networking and security.
Cisco Meraki implemented zero‑touch provisioning of MR APs, MX appliances, MS switches, MV cameras and Systems Manager on over 600 endpoints (initially 56 MR APs, with subsequent rollouts such as 12 MR32s in a new building and an external MR72 at The Lazy Fish). Using the Meraki dashboard, the IT team now auto‑provisions APs in minutes without travel, remotely troubleshoots devices and desktops in seconds, simplifies onboarding and BYOD control, and centrally supports 42 branches—freeing time and resources and improving network reliability for hundreds of daily users.
