A Cisco Meraki Case Study
Stumptown Coffee Roasters, a Portland-based premium coffee brand with cafes, roasteries and distribution centers across the U.S., needed a centralized, easy-to-manage camera solution to monitor distributed retail and manufacturing operations. Already using Cisco Meraki networking (wireless, switching, SD‑WAN and security), Stumptown chose Meraki MV cameras to replace ad hoc legacy systems, cut down on onsite visits and configuration time, and provide role-based access for executives, managers and operations staff.
Cisco Meraki deployed a standardized fleet of over 50 MV indoor and outdoor cameras across ten locations (typically 2–4 cameras per site) integrated with the existing Meraki stack, removing DVR infrastructure and allowing cameras to be staged, shipped and installed by non-technical staff. The result: a small IT team now monitors coast‑to‑coast sites, recovers footage in minutes during incidents, rolls out firmware seamlessly, and has shifted helpdesk effort from firefighting to strategic projects—delivering clear gains in deployment speed, incident response and staff efficiency.
