Case Study: Foster Pepper PLLC achieves rapid, secure multi-site Wi-Fi deployment in six hours with Cisco Meraki

A Cisco Meraki Case Study

Preview of the Foster Pepper PLLC Case Study

How a multi-site law firm seamlessly expanded coverage in only six hours

Foster Pepper PLLC, a Seattle-based multi-site law firm with about 260 employees, faced persistent wireless reliability and connectivity problems that slowed IT and frustrated users. IT Director Lucas Clara needed a secure, easy-to-manage replacement that supported 802.1X authentication, multiple SSIDs/VLANs for guest isolation, and modern 802.11n performance — Cisco Meraki Wireless LAN was evaluated and chosen to meet those requirements.

Cisco Meraki deployed 20 access points across Seattle and Spokane and used its cloud-based central management to configure employee and guest networks with 802.1X, splash-page guest access, and content filtering. The plug-and-play rollout took just six hours, required no client changes, enabled remote AP provisioning by shipping units to sites, and reduced IT overhead—employees now use wireless widely in meetings, a dozen visitors typically use guest access daily, and temporary events got 15 users online within minutes.
