Case Study: Eastview Church achieves reliable, high-density WiFi for 6,000+ parishioners with Cisco Meraki

A Cisco Meraki Case Study

Preview of the Eastview Church Case Study

How a church network went from disastrous to reliable for 6000+ parishioners

Eastview Church, a large event venue serving over 6,000 weekly attendees across a 200,000 sq ft facility, was struggling with a “disastrous” multi-vendor, outsourced network that couldn’t deliver reliable, high‑density WiFi or a simple disaster‑recovery backup. They engaged Cisco Meraki and adopted its cloud-managed MR access points, MS switches, MX security appliances, and Systems Manager (Mobility Device Management) to replace the fragmented infrastructure and support BYOD and high-density WiFi needs.

Cisco Meraki deployed a full‑stack, cloud‑managed solution (APs, switches, MX, MDM) with public/private SSIDs, site‑to‑site VPN to a disaster‑recovery site, client VPN for staff, QoS for events, and Systems Manager profiles for device provisioning. The result: fast, reliable wireless for 6,000+ attendees, live per‑port traffic visibility and troubleshooting, secure resource backup to the DR site, easy push of internal resources to staff devices, and a two‑person IT team now remotely managing the entire network.
