Case Study: Tourism Holdings achieves real-time network visibility and seamless guest/staff segmentation with Cisco Meraki

A Cisco Meraki Case Study

Preview of the Tourism Holdings Case Study

Having the ability to do everything remotely in a user-friendly way is a key benefit

Tourism Holdings, a New Zealand–based RV rental and tours company with more than 50 locations, 1,000 employees and roughly 1,000 guests per day, faced a fragmented multi-vendor network, limited visibility, and the need to manage thousands of devices while segmenting guest and corporate traffic. To address this, Tourism Holdings deployed Cisco Meraki’s full stack—MR access points, MS switches, MX security appliances and Systems Manager enterprise mobility management—to gain centralized control and real-time visibility.

Cisco Meraki’s deployment (67 MR APs, 49 MS switches, 16 MX appliances and ~1,100 Systems Manager licenses) was completed in two months and consolidated monitoring into a single dashboard. The solution enabled clear SSID and bandwidth segmentation for ~1,000 daily guests, instant device inventories (auditor reports in under a minute), remote alerts for outages, faster troubleshooting, seamless roaming for staff, site-to-site VPN and ongoing cloud-readiness—delivering measurable visibility, centralized device management and quicker issue resolution for Tourism Holdings.
