Eliminating downtime to keep critical services available for multi-site nonprofit

Talbert House, a nonprofit behavioral health provider with 36 branches and 850 employees, was struggling with fragmented, hard-to-manage network equipment, frequent broadcast storms and time-consuming on-site repairs that threatened uptime for critical client services. After evaluating options, Talbert House selected Cisco Meraki’s cloud-managed Branch Networking stack — including MS42P switches, MR16 access points, MX security appliances (MX80/MX90), Z1 teleworker gateways and Systems Manager MDM — to provide centrally managed, HIPAA-compliant networking and mobile device management.

Cisco Meraki implemented a plug-and-play, cloud-managed solution across all sites so administrators can monitor and remediate issues from the dashboard, push policies and MDM profiles, and apply Layer 7 traffic analytics and client fingerprinting to shape access. The deployment put an MS42P at every location, more than 60 MR APs in key sites and MX appliances for security and VPN, enabling remote teleworkers and controlled guest access; as a result Talbert House reduced on-site visits, gained visibility across 36 sites and increased network uptime to above 99%.
