A Cisco Meraki Case Study
Wales & West Housing (WWH), a housing association managing more than 9,500 homes and 17,000+ residents, needed to provide reliable, family‑safe Internet across dozens of largely unstaffed locations to support digital inclusion. Traditional controller‑ and CLI‑based Wi‑Fi was too complex and costly for this scale, so WWH evaluated and selected Cisco Meraki MR wireless LAN access points and the cloud‑managed Meraki dashboard to meet their requirements.
Cisco Meraki delivered cloud‑managed MR APs and Systems Manager so WWH could centrally configure networks and remotely deploy access points by non‑IT staff. The Meraki solution is live in almost 20 sites (with more than 120 planned), lets staff devices auto‑join a corporate SSID and roam seamlessly, provides DNS filtering, layer‑7 firewall and analytics, and supports 99.9% of locations with no onsite IT—reducing technical overhead and delivering simple, reliable, cost‑effective Wi‑Fi for residents.
