Case Study: Village Hotel Club elevates guest services and centralizes network management across 28 UK hotels with Cisco Meraki

A Cisco Meraki Case Study

Preview of the Village Hotel Club Case Study

Elevating guest services while preparing for the future through new wireless and switching

Village Hotel Club, a luxury hotel group with 28 locations across the UK, needed a high-performance, centrally managed network to support a newly refurbished guest experience and future services. Dan Morley, Head of IT Infrastructure, found the previous network ill-equipped for new offerings and sought unified visibility, standardized management across sites, and the flexibility to adapt to evolving guest and business demands; they selected Cisco Meraki (MR – Wireless LAN and MS – Switching) to meet those needs.

Cisco Meraki deployed a mix of MR access points and MS switches with cloud‑managed dashboards, virtual stacking and standardized policies (piloted across 3 hotels), enabling up to 15 SSIDs per device for segmented guest and business access. The Meraki solution centralized management across all 28 hotels, allowed remote configuration and built‑in alerts, and supported services such as self‑service check‑in, smart fitness suites, streaming, conference connectivity and mobile payment terminals—delivering improved guest experiences, easier IT support and granular bandwidth control for events.
