Boosting security and sustainability at Finland’s Serlachius Museums

Serlachius Museums in Finland needed to improve wireless coverage, network reliability, and security across its museum sites while also supporting a more modern visitor experience. Using Cisco Meraki wireless access points and MV cameras, the museum wanted to replace an older setup that had dead zones, cable-dependent computers, and less reliable camera systems.

Cisco Meraki delivered a refreshed network and camera solution that was easy to deploy and manage, with cloud-based remote troubleshooting and locally plus cloud-stored video. The rollout eliminated dead zones, enabled fast Wi‑Fi throughout the museums, improved video quality, and cut camera energy use by about one-third. It also removed the old NVR server and reduced technician travel, creating both operational and sustainability gains for Serlachius Museums.
