Case Study: Maxeon Solar Technologies achieves rapid global network deployment and simplified remote site management with Cisco Meraki

A Cisco Meraki Case Study

Preview of the Maxeon Solar Technologies Case Study

Augmenting productivity at global sites with remote solutions

Maxeon Solar Technologies, a newly independent global solar manufacturer with panels in 100+ countries and manufacturing sites in France, Mexico, Malaysia and the Philippines, faced a major networking challenge: 26 dispersed IT teams, unreliable local internet, and the need to redesign its network after a spin‑off. To simplify management of dozens of satellite offices and plants, Maxeon turned to Cisco Meraki, deploying cloud‑managed hardware including Meraki MR access points and MV smart cameras (with MS switches and MX security appliances).

Cisco Meraki delivered a plug‑and‑play, cloud‑managed solution that Maxeon could deploy with minimal onsite IT—bringing its global network online in four days or less. The Meraki dashboard enables one manager to supervise all sites, camera footage retrieval dropped from 3–7 days to minutes, and infrastructure and staffing needs were reduced (Maxeon plans to replace 180+ access points). Overall, Cisco Meraki provided faster rollout, lower costs, and improved visibility and analytics across Maxeon’s worldwide sites.
