Allieviating tech headaches with new wireless solution for restaurant chain

Lone Star Texas Grill, a 24‑location Canadian restaurant chain in the hospitality industry, needed a cloud‑based, easy‑to‑manage Wireless LAN so staff could focus on food and service instead of IT maintenance. To solve that challenge they selected Cisco Meraki (Wireless LAN) for a simple, reliable cloud networking solution, with Cloud4Wi acting as a technology partner to enhance the guest WiFi experience.

Cisco Meraki deployed Meraki access points and the CMX analytics platform, rolled out to 19 additional locations within two weeks of the pilot, and—paired with Cloud4Wi’s Volare—enabled captive portals, real‑time location analytics and pedestrian counts without requiring a connection. The Cisco Meraki solution delivered full WiFi coverage, a spike in VIP members within the first 90 days, increased email subscribers and more targeted promotions, giving Lone Star better customer insight and engagement.
