A Cisco Meraki Case Study
Langley School, a coeducational day and boarding school in Norfolk with 765 students across two 100‑acre campuses, faced poor campus connectivity—Wi‑Fi was largely limited to IT suites and rural 3G links—until the pandemic made remote and flexible learning essential. To modernize quickly, Langley turned to Cisco Meraki, deploying Meraki MR wireless access points and Meraki MS series switches under a long‑term license to replace its fragmented network.
Cisco Meraki delivered campus‑wide, indoor and outdoor Wi‑Fi and simple, secure network segmentation so staff, sixth formers, younger pupils, visitors and boarding students each have tailored access and policies. The upgrade enabled tablet and laptop use, outdoor lessons, spontaneous private video calls for boarders, and rapid provisioning of new networks—supporting roughly 1,000 network users and allowing device rollout (from Year 3 up) while giving IT staff clear visibility and easier management.
