Achieving workflow simplicity while managing thousands of devices

Pflugerville Independent School District (PFISD) needed a simpler way to manage and secure thousands of school devices without relying on tools that took weeks to learn. Working with Cisco Meraki, the district used Systems Manager and the Meraki dashboard to support device enrollment, app deployment, and self-service workflows for nontechnical staff and students.

Cisco Meraki implemented API-driven automation, bulk tagging, self-service app installation, activation lock bypass, and restricted profiles, with Cisco Umbrella integration for added security. The result was a 5x productivity increase, faster training for staff, and the ability to scale app management from 30 apps to 200 while reducing manual work and improving the end-user experience.
