A milk processing plant in Devon keeps their staff safe with MV security cameras

Crediton Dairy, a milk processing plant in Devon employing about 160 staff, needed to replace a dated CCTV system that covered only a few areas of a large, complex site with tall structures and constant lorry traffic creating safety risks. Already using Meraki access points, the IT team selected Cisco Meraki MV security cameras (MV71 models) to get broader, easier-to-manage site coverage.

Cisco Meraki deployed an initial 16 MV71 cameras and the team used the Meraki mobile app for simple plug-and-play installation. The new system lets Operations and Health & Safety monitor high-traffic zones locally without eating bandwidth, saved time and money by avoiding extra hardware, and helped resolve a lorry-into-barrier incident by proving cause and assigning liability; the team is now exploring expanding MV coverage into the factory.
