A Cisco Meraki Case Study
Casey-Cardinia Library Corporation (CCLC), a local government library group in Melbourne, struggled with an outdated guest WiFi process that required staff to print internet access slips and offered little visibility into network usage. Seeking a next‑generation solution, the library evaluated Cisco Meraki and its cloud-managed MR wireless access points, MS switches and CMX location analytics to simplify guest access and gain real‑time insight into traffic and dwell time.
CCLC deployed 19 Meraki MR access points and 7 MS switches across seven branches and enabled CMX analytics, giving staff immediate dashboard visibility and eliminating printed access slips. Cisco Meraki’s solution delivered a 200%–400% increase in WiFi usage across the network, higher foot traffic and stronger community engagement, plus remote monitoring and actionable location data to optimize services and plan future expansions.
