A Cisco Jasper Case Study
Great Lakes NeuroTechnologies (GLNT) builds bioinstrumentation and telemedicine systems that use IoT sensors, video and symptom data to monitor Parkinson’s patients and support clinicians and pharmaceutical studies. As GLNT shifted from a US hardware provider into a global service company, it struggled with cumbersome, multi-carrier connectivity management—remote devices in Europe frequently hopped towers or lost connections, requiring time-consuming phone-based troubleshooting and risking data-plan overages.
After adopting Cisco Jasper Control Center in 2012, GLNT gained centralized activation, monitoring and automation for its global deployments. The platform provides a single pane for rapid device-status checks, faster troubleshooting with a few clicks, and automation rules to prevent overages—enabling GLNT to scale internationally, deliver customizable telemedicine services, and operate more efficiently and self-reliantly.
