Baseline Telematics partnered with insurer Industrielle Alliance to move car insurance from proxy-based models to usage-based insurance (UBI). Their challenge was to collect and translate in-vehicle data into usable risk assessments, engage young drivers, and scale connectivity and device management while controlling costs.

They launched the Mobiliz program using Baseline’s BaseBit device, BaseDrive app and Control Center on the Cisco Jasper platform to turn telematics into premium models, real-time portals and parent-facing reports. The program drove strong results: three-quarters of participants improved driving and lowered premiums, customer demand among 16–24 year-olds increased, Baseline automated and optimized device management and costs, and both companies expanded into new markets.
