Case Study: GREE, Inc. achieves faster, more resilient ERP and simplified datacenter operations with Cisco HyperFlex

A Cisco HyperFlex Case Study

Preview of the GREE, Inc. Case Study

Successfully Migrating to a Hyperconverged Infrastructure

GREE, Inc., a Tokyo-based internet and media company operating gaming, advertising and investment businesses, faced slow responsiveness and high data-center costs for its on-premises ERP and needed a higher-performance virtual platform. After evaluating hyperconverged options for a private-cloud–centric design that would simplify operations and support multivendor hypervisors, GREE selected Cisco HyperFlex as the solution.

Cisco HyperFlex (deployed alongside Cisco UCS and VICs) simplified networking and cabling, sped installation and verification, and increased system fault tolerance. The migration completed in January 2018 and delivered measurable benefits: some internal tool response times doubled, backups and night-time patching became faster, maintenance burden was reduced, and additional virtualized internal systems were consolidated onto the new platform.
