A Cisco HyperFlex Case Study
EagleBurgmann, a global manufacturing company headquartered in Campinas, Brazil, faced frequent system failures, aging servers (7–10 years old), and limited storage and processing capacity while preparing to support an enterprise management system (ERP). To lower total cost of ownership and enable modular growth, EagleBurgmann engaged Brascin, a Cisco partner, and selected Cisco HyperFlex to modernize its data center.
Cisco HyperFlex was deployed to unify compute, storage, and networking under a single management layer, with migration starting on less-critical servers and Cisco support configuring the network cluster. The solution increased system availability, delivered a 90% gain in operating time, recovered 25% more physical space and 90% of storage capacity, and is projected to recoup investment within 12 months (with payback seen in about three months under risk considerations). By reducing troubleshooting time (no longer losing 15–30 minutes identifying problems), Cisco HyperFlex freed IT to focus on new services and Industry 4.0 initiatives.
