A Colorado region of a large integrated delivery network faced declining member satisfaction and retention. Their members on cost-sharing plans were frustrated with long wait times for in-person care and limited access options, leading to higher costs from out-of-network leakage. The IDN partnered with CirrusMD to find an innovative solution that would improve the care experience without burdening its physicians.

CirrusMD implemented an instant-access, text-based service called "Chat with a Doctor," which connected members directly to in-network physicians. The solution was immediately popular and expanded to include additional clinical and administrative services. The results included over 250,000 chats, $5.5 million in member savings, a 95% satisfaction rate, and an 87% higher member re-enrollment likelihood. The program's success led other regions within the IDN to adopt the CirrusMD platform.
