A Circus Case Study
The University of Kent faced the challenge of creating a virtual open day experience that could effectively attract a wide range of domestic and international students. A common issue was that generic tours featured a wide variety of irrelevant courses and facilities for any individual visitor. To address this, the university collaborated with Circus to develop a more personalised virtual open day.
Circus created a custom-built microsite inspired by social media and e-commerce platforms. Users answer a short set of questions, and the solution assembles a personalised tour from a large content library, ensuring all information is relevant. The bespoke WordPress CMS allows the university to keep content fresh, while integrated analytics and WCAG2.2-compliant features provide insights and ensure inclusivity. This tailored approach successfully increased dwell time, engagement, and conversion for the University of Kent.
