How Stokke Successfully Launched a Rental Business for Tripp Trapp Accessories With circuly

Stokke, the Norwegian children’s furniture brand behind the iconic Tripp Trapp®, wanted to go beyond product innovation and test a more circular, sustainable business model. The challenge was to launch a subscription/rental pilot quickly without using scarce internal IT resources. To do this, Stokke partnered with circuly and used its API-first subscription management software for a new rental offering called Stokke® Start.

circuly helped Stokke design and launch a lean standalone eCommerce setup for the pilot, connect it to existing systems, and support rental-specific processes like subscriptions, swaps, returns, and refurbishment. The result was a rental pilot launched in just four months, giving Stokke a fast way to test market demand, reduce manual work, and gather evidence for a potential full rollout. Stokke also set measurable KPIs for success, including renting 70% of pilot products, achieving an NPS above 40, and refurbishing at least 50% of returned products.
