MACE reuses corporate laptops for youth employability with Circular IT Group

MACE, a UK-based construction company, needed to securely donate used corporate laptops to its Mace Foundation to support youth employability programs. The primary challenge was ensuring certified data destruction to eliminate any risk from the previously used devices. They partnered with Circular IT group for its IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) and laptop reuse services to achieve this securely and sustainably.

Circular IT group implemented a secure ITAD process using Blancco software for certified data wiping aligned with ISO standards. After ensuring complete data sanitization, the devices were quality-checked and prepared for donation. This solution allowed MACE to safely transfer the laptops to its foundation, directly supporting young people in care by providing them with essential technology for career training. The initiative also extended device lifecycles, reducing e-waste and carbon emissions associated with new manufacturing, while Circular IT group ensured full compliance and traceability throughout the process.
