Why Uniplaces chose to partner with CircleCI for simple and easy CI

Uniplaces is a Lisbon-based startup and one of the fastest-growing international marketplaces for student accommodation, operating in nine countries since 2012 and helping thousands of students book tens of thousands of verified places. Its 20+ person engineering team (Python/PHP) deploys to AWS EC2 and runs 4k+ tests per day, but managing Jenkins as a self-hosted CI/CD solution created operational overhead and slowed developer workflows.

Uniplaces moved to CircleCI’s SaaS platform for its performance, GitHub integration, scalability, and ease of configuration. CircleCI now runs tests on every push and pull request, gates merges with “green” builds, and allows quick scaling of containers; as a result Uniplaces gained a stable, reliable QA pipeline, removed CI infrastructure maintenance, and significantly improved developer productivity and deployment velocity.
