Honeycomb rapidly scales using CircleCI and AWS

Honeycomb, founded in 2016 as an observability platform for engineering, DevOps, and SRE teams, needed cost-effective infrastructure that could help them ship code quickly while scaling without adding heavy internal overhead. To support rapid growth, Honeycomb turned to CircleCI along with AWS, looking for a CI/CD and infrastructure setup that could speed build, test, and deploy workflows.

Using CircleCI’s Arm compute with AWS Graviton2, Honeycomb simplified its CI/CD pipeline and improved speed, scale, and efficiency. CircleCI helped cut build and test times by more than 50%, enabled up to 5x more computational capacity, and reduced AWS EC2 compute costs by 50%, allowing Honeycomb’s small engineering team to operate at a much larger scale.
