Greenhouse, the hiring software company behind a leading recruiting platform used by nearly 4,000 companies, needed to keep innovating while dealing with slow 30–35 minute builds that were creating developer bottlenecks and frequent context switching. To support faster releases and scale its engineering workflow, Greenhouse turned to CircleCI.

After stress-testing CircleCI, Greenhouse moved all of its projects to the platform and cut build times from about 30 minutes to under 10 minutes, a 66% improvement. With CircleCI, Greenhouse sped up releases, enabled roughly one extra release per day, reduced hotfix recovery time from about an hour to 30 minutes, and boosted positive developer sentiment on the test runner by 50%.
