Belly, a leading digital loyalty and marketing automation platform, struggled with slow CI for a mix of apps and a large Rails monolith. With their previous hosted service, build times for that app grew to about 1 hour 15 minutes, creating a sluggish feedback loop and hindering developer productivity.

Belly moved to CircleCI for easy parallelization and faster onboarding of apps; CircleCI’s auto-detection and parallel builds cut the monolith’s build time to roughly 8 minutes. The faster feedback loop accelerated iteration, improved team satisfaction, and prompted Mobile and Front End teams to migrate as well.
